A Guide to Online Casinos
|
Currency
- Find out whether the casino plays in UK pounds, Euros, US dollars or chips (where you 'buy' chips from a central currency account)
- Currency conversion - if you play in dollars, how much will currency conversion to UK pounds costs - check also with your bank or credit card company.
- Withdrawal options - how do you withdraw your money and how long does it take. Some casinos have a system called 'pending withdrawals' which essentially gives a 24 or 48 hours withdrawal reprieve allowing you to reverse the withdrawal. Whilst that may sound like a great idea, ultimately it's a great tool for the casino to allow them the chance that you will 'play' your winnings.
- If the casino offers a bankwire or a personal cheque in order to receive your winnings, check if there's a cost involved in this
- Find out what other money options are available. For example, you may prefer to use online wallets such as Firepay or Neteller which could be a good way of controlling all your casino accounts. Some casinos allow you to withdraw your winnings from their High Street branches (if they're a bookie) - this could come in use if you want cash
